They may keep a few newer / larger buildings but close the rest-forcing you to travel to the next nearest Schnucks to do your shopping, and letting employees go. It appears to me that they may be buying these stores as an anti-competitive measure and may not intend to operate them all that long-especially those that are in close proximity to existing Schnucks stores. Schnucks is spending hardly any time, and probably equally as little money on the stores they are buying. All I can say is that is you are a current SNS employee, you may be better finding a new job (Dierbergs is hiring 200 something people).
